Preferred Qualifications:
- EFDA experience preferred, but happy to train the right candidate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Open Dental experience preferred, but willing to train.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, restorative procedures, and clinical workflows.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Perform expanded functions including placing/finishing restorations, coronal polishing, and sealant placement.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and organize clinical equipment for patient visits.
- Provide attentive chairside assistance and proactive support to the clinical team.
- Expose and process high-quality digital dental radiographs.
- Maintain accurate patient records, clinical charts, and treatment documentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
Licenses & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
- Indiana Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification (Required).
- Indiana Dental Radiography License (Required).
- CPR/BLS Certification (Required).
